2017 Robotics Club Grade 6&7 - Thursday 3:00-4:40 (late bus provided)
Students will design, build and code Lego Mindstorm EV3 robots to complete a series of challenges outlined by the First Lego League (FLL) tournament. They will gain skills in engineering, logical reasoning, and most importantly teaming up with classmates to solve problems. The first 4-6 weeks will involve researching a real word problem, coming up with a practical solution and working in a cooperative team.
In November, students may choose to:
A) Apply to be on the competition team where weekly meetings are mandatory as well as one full day Saturday competition in late January.
B) Participate in weekly meetings on a drop-in only basis, attendance is not mandatory. These students will work towards the same FLL challenges, but will not participate in the January competition.
*clubs end March 1st
